Local Road Manuals

FHWA just released two (2) new local roads manuals:  Speed Management: A Manual for Local Rural Road Owners and Non-Motorized User Safety: A Manual for Local Rural Road Owners. These manuals are not a substitute for other documents with similar content but provide concise methodologies in addressing each area. These manuals provide a framework that can be used to identify and address safety issues on local rural roads.

The new manuals are now available on the FHWA Safety website at:
